Nevada has an interesting history as a testing ground for all manner of secret government projects. Interesting enough to open up your wallet for a museum ticket? Maybe, maybe not, but no matter: The Atomic Testing Museum will offer free admission September 25 as part of Museum Day. Across the country, museums affiliated with the Smithsonian will grant free access on that date. In Vegas, the offer is good from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Don’t just show up, however, and expect no hassles. First you must register on the Smithsonian site.
